Hello everyone. Here’s an experience I had just today that I will share. I was on the transit bus today and I overhead a man reciting a Bible verse to another man from the back. The verse described how the Lord helped His people escape from their slavery in Egypt. He went on to describe the life of Jesus afterwards. He was talking loud enough that everyone on the back section of the bus could hear him. I believe he was reading something, as he kept going without stopping.
From a Universalistic perspective, the whole world is in slavery due to sin. And the whole world is the people of the Lord, as we are all created from Him. Therefore, everyone will be saved.
John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
Isaiah 19:21-22 And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them. And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them.
The Egyptians who had enslaved the Israelites and the Israelites enslaved by the Egyptians, all will be saved. God has promised to save everyone, He will never cast us out.
While I don’t know if that man was a Universalist or not, he was at least reciting the truth. And the verses he was reciting were talking about the love God has for all creation, taken straight from the Bible itself. So there’s nothing I could object to at that moment. Which is why I have featured that person in my post today, even when they’re a complete stranger to me.
